Every Alpha Chi Omega has a story, and our sisterhood wants to hear yours!
Alpha Chi Omega is a sisterhood of more than 245,000 members, each with their own stories and experiences. It is these unique stories and experiences that make Alpha Chi Omega the organization it is today.
To honor our sisterhood, and to collect the stories and cherished photos of alumnae, we are excited to announce the Alpha Chi Omega Oral History Project. Stories and photos shared through this project will be preserved in a book that celebrates the impact Alpha Chi Omega has had on our lives and who we are today and may also be used in additional Alpha Chi Omega communications pieces to share our unique story.
About This Project
We have partnered with industry leader PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to help us learn more about our alumnae and make it easier for you to stay connected to Alpha Chi Omega. PCI will help us collect the stories that make us who we are and update contact information from members who have moved, switched email addresses or landed a new job.
So, what story will you share? Do you have a special memory with a lifelong sister? Did a sister have a profound impact on your life? Can you trace your career path back to a defining moment in Alpha Chi Omega – at an event or from a role you held? Were you in Alpha Chi Omega during a historical moment?
Whatever your story is, we can’t wait to hear it!
About PCI
With so many amazing stories to capture, Alpha Chi Omega could not take on this project alone. By partnering with PCI, we can work with their trained staff of real, live people who are excited to listen to your story. PCI will collect and assemble the stories in an Alpha Chi Omega Oral History book. The publication will share memories and stories across generations and will be available for Alpha Chi Omega members to purchase.
Please note: We have only shared your contact information with PCI in conjunction with this project. We have not sold or used your contact information for outside marketing purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce an Oral History publication for Alpha Chi Omega. PCI is a family-owned business based in Dallas, TX that has published directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation for more than 100 years. This project allows Alpha Chi Omega to hear about your personal experiences and how the Fraternity helped to shape your life. And, while we have you on the phone, we want to make sure your contact information is up to date.
Yes, in a few different ways:
- Updated Information – allows us to effectively communicate with and engage members
- Heritage – sharing and collecting stories preserves the history of our organization
- Collected stories – having stories that highlight our sisterhood to share in Alpha Chi Omega communications
PCI is committed to protecting your information. The names, addresses and information provided to PCI for the publication of the Oral History Project will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Oral History Project and except as required by court order or law.
- If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the Oral History Project. The representative will verify the information on file for you, make any updates where needed and then ask you to share your story about your time at Alpha Chi Omega. Your story will be recorded, and the sound clip will be provided to Alpha Chi Omega at the conclusion of the project.
- If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the website to review your information and submit a story.
- If you are living internationally or are unable to call the update line, please email customerservice@publishingconcepts.com. PCI will send you a personalized link for you to share your written story and photo.
If you would like to participate and are deaf or hard of hearing, please email customerservice@publishingconcepts.com. PCI will send you a personalized link for you to share your written story and photo.
Although advances in technology allow us to share information online in seconds, this project uses phone calls so you can speak to a real person and ensure your information is correct. The PCI staff member may ask you follow-up or clarifying questions that an online system would not allow.
The only information that could be included in the publication is your name and your chapter, along with your story and photo. No contact information is printed. When you call to update your contact information, it will only be used to update your member record for Alpha Chi Omega. You may revoke consent for your story and/or photo to appear any time before February 21, 2025 by contacting PCI’s customer service helpdesk at 800-982-1590 or customerservice@publishingconcepts.com.
No. This project is being done at no cost. The project is completely funded by the Alpha Chi Omega members who choose to purchase the Oral History book that will be produced at the end of the project. Various book packages will be offered. PCI will also offer you the option to purchase other Alpha Chi Omega branded merchandise. You are welcome to purchase these items, but you are not required to do so to participate in the project or order the Oral History book. Again, we’d never be able to embark on a project like this without the support of our amazing members and partnership with PCI. We sincerely thank every person that participates and chooses to purchase the book.
When you call PCI, you will speak to one of their staff members. By coincidence, you may speak to an Alpha Chi Omega who is also a staff member of PCI, but you will not be speaking to an Alpha Chi Omega headquarters staff member when you call PCI.
You can call back at any time before February 21, 2025 to share your story.
You will receive an email with a link to upload one photo (black and white or color) plus a caption.
If you have also purchased a book but do not have an email address on file, you will be sent a photo mailer to send a physical photo in to be printed (note: the photo will be returned if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope).
The Alpha Chi Omega Oral History publication is available for sale only to Alpha Chi Omega members.
Contact PCI’s customer service helpdesk at 800-982-1590 and they will take care of this for you.
