"My biggest learning moment during this experience was about how far community connection can go. I have always known the impact that can be made within a small community, but I do not think I realized how far that impact can go. This program taught me about how communities can learn from each other and work together on a deeper scale "

Frequently Asked Questions
As a part of Alpha Chi Omega’s inclusion and belonging work, Alpha Chi Omega created the Keys to Service program, started in 2023 under the original program name of Social Justice Institute, a transformative experience for all involved that fosters growth, understanding and a commitment to supporting domestic violence survivors.
This new program name, Keys to Service, more accurately describes the intended outcomes of the program and reflects Alpha Chi Omega’s history rooted in generosity, compassion and commitment to creating lasting impact in our local communities. Throughout the program, members will explore our key values – wisdom, devotion, achievement and commitment –and equip themselves to transform their passion for domestic violence awareness into meaningful action while promoting inclusivity and belonging. We look forward to an exciting future with this renewed focus, inspiring greater involvement and positive impact in our communities.
Participants must commit to attending and fully participating in a virtual four-week program with 75-minute sessions (Tuesdays; May 13 to June 3, 2025 at 8:15 p.m. EDT / 7:15 p.m. CDT / 6:15 p.m. MDT / 5:15 p.m. PDT).
The Keys to Service program is a fully virtual experience!
Over the course of four weeks, our Keys to Service cohort will meet virtually to gain an affinity for initiating change and ambition for creating environments that promote inclusion and belonging. Additionally, members will build relationships with sisters who share their passion for domestic violence outreach and community support.
Members who participate in Alpha Chi Omega’s Keys to Service program should have a passion for, as well as skills and knowledge in:

Recognizing one’s beliefs and biases to maximize self-awareness
-
Practicing mutual respect for qualities and experiences that are different from their own
