Alumnae
Educational Programs

Alpha Chi Omega traditionally has focused much of its educational programming on collegians. In fact, we’re enhancing that today with the development of our four-year online and in-person Alpha Chi Omega Experience.

But this is a lifelong organization. And we want to provide our alumnae with lifelong education relevant to all their life stages. In 2008, we established a Lifetime Engagement department that’s spearheading a new era in alumnae relations and programming. In 2009, we’re establishing an alumnae programming task force to evaluate what our members need and want, to look at best practices from other organizations, and to build a program meaningful to you.

In the meantime, we continue to offer two learning opportunities that have long been a part of our organization.
  • Learn at conventions and other gatherings. Every other year, at the National Convention, we offer speakers and programs relevant to the interests of our alumnae. We do the same at province gatherings and career days.
  • Formal training for volunteers working with collegians. Our chapter consultants, advisors and Province Collegiate Chairs work with thousands of college women annually. It’s a complex role that requires these women to be up to date on many issues, trends, rules, regulations, procedures and more. A typical training program might include how to empower and motivate chapter members and how to deal with chapter issues. We also emphasize team-building and networking so the alumnae volunteers working with our chapter members can call on one another when issues arise throughout the year.
